We are living in a technology-driven world, so we often spend our days in the office, without physically needing to see or talk to another person. All our digital devices, gadgets, and the Internet ease our communication, so we can work and order our food, coffee, and everything else we need without leaving the room.
Technology is not inherently bad, but it made us isolated and separated. We sometimes forget the importance of kindness and helping, which bring great happiness in life. The fastest way to experience joy is by serving others.
One old Chinese proverb says:
“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
Animals never forget to help each other and ease the tough life in the animal kingdom. You have surely already heard some stories about animals rescuing their friends and helping each other.
The following photos of a goose warming up a shivering puppy with its wings are another example of this. The goose uses its beak to pet the cute little puppy to ensure it sleeps comfortably under its warm, wings.
Oh, they melt my heart!
Some animals are especially friendly and easily establish relationships with animals from another species. What differentiates friendship from survival is that the animals have no other benefit from these relationships than having the other animal’s company.
Dogs are well known to be docile and kind beings that can make friends with almost any other animal.
Similarly, most geese are friendly, and with personality galore, and some may bond with you much like a dog, follow you around, observe everything you do, and give you “gooseneck” hugs.
Therefore, we should not be that surprised by this duo!
